How long do I need to wait?

We understand that an emergency visit may feel stressful and that it is difficult to wait and not know for certain when it will be your turn. Unfortunately, we are unable to say how long the wait will be, but we will do all we can to take good care of you. We continuously prioritise our patients and the most acute cases and injuries always receive help first.

Can I call you?

Unfortunately, you cannot phone the local emergency clinic for healthcare advice or to book an appointment. For healthcare advice and recommendations about where to seek care, please call 1177. For life threatening conditions, phone 112.

Can I book an appointment?

At the emergency room, we receive drop-in patients and continuously prioritize so that the sickest get help first.

  • You who feel stress, worry, anxiety or are in an acute crisis can make an appointment for a conversation with our counsellor. New times are continuously added.

Proceed as follows to book an appointment, change an appointment or cancel an appointment:

  1. Look up Uppsala Närakut Aleris at 1177.se.
  2. Select Uppsala Närakut Aleris in the list.
  3. Under the heading "Our e-services" you will see which e-services Uppsala Närakut Aleris offers. Click on the text for what you want to do to log in. This can be, for example, booking an appointment immediately or canceling an appointment on the same day.

Adults and children from the age of 13 book their appointment themselves with their own BankID or Freja eID Plus. Children can be booked with the help of a guardian.

You can also come to us at our regular drop-in times.

177 referred me to the local emergency clinic why wasn’t I able to see a doctor?

1177 makes an initial assessment via telephone. When you come to the local emergency clinic a new assessment of your condition will always be done on site. This is done so that we can take care of those the most acutely ill and injured patients first.

Sometimes we decide that doctors or nurses are not urgently needed. You may be asked to contact your local GP instead.

Why won’t you listen to all of my problems?

All patients have the right to be listened to at a healthcare appointment, but sometimes we must prioritise different symptoms as we, at the local emergency clinic, can only take care of acute illnesses and injuries.

Can I bring a relative along to the appointment?

No, you may only attend the appointment yourself. This is both due to a lack of space and to reduce the risk of disease from spreading. Healthcare attendants are, of course, welcome and children under 18 years of age may have a parent or guardian with them.

Can I get help from an interpreter?

Yes, we can provide an interpreter if needed. This is something we take care of on site at the local emergency clinic.

I have a question about an invoice.

If you have a question about your invoice, please send an e-mail to uppsala.narakut@privat.regionuppsala.se and we will get back to you. Please include the customer number on the invoice in the e-mail.

If you are not able to send e-mail, then leave a message on an answering machine by calling 018-611 79 92 and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
